A very important component to its global operations, Google London will be looking to add hundreds of new employees in the near future, so this dreamlike workplace may soon be reality for a select inventive few.

Nearly every one of us has at least seen photographs of New York City, if not actually traveled there, but these color images from 1941 show the Big Apple like you've never seen it before. For those unfamiliar with early color photography techniques, "before the technical innovations of the years 1935 to 1942, the only way to create a subtractive full-color print or transparency was by means of one of several labor-intensive and time-consuming procedures; most commonly, three pigment images were first created separately by the so-called carbon process and then carefully combined in register."
