Researchers at Japan-based Hitachi Kokusai have developed a facial-recognition system that can scan through 36-million faces in one second. That's right, it "can monitor video feeds from around the world in real time, scanning for a particular face; when it finds what it's looking for, it closes in to provide footage of what the person has been doing previously and what he or she is doing next." As long as you're facing the camera, give or take 30 degrees left or right, if someone's looking for you, they'll find you. The system will be on the market next year.
