Japanese artist Nagai Hideyuki is an expert at creating surreal works that appear to pop out from the sheet of paper if viewed from the right angle. My Modern Met says that he “focuses on strong lights and shadows and uses multiple notebooks propped and angled to produce his clever illusions of depth.
