Brazilian artist Henrique Oliveira has just completed his latest project, the mind-boggling installation called “Transarquitetonica”. Simply put, he’s successfully created a fully-immersive environment inside of a large, root-like system, complete with multiple paths that lead you throughout the sculpture made entirely from repurposed wood pieces that are tacked together and resemble bark on a tree. Building it involved creating a skeleton framework and secured the joints with zip ties before wood pieces were used in siding as they were layered and applied as the ‘skin’ for the interior and exterior of the work.
