Did you know that Michael Jackson was planning to buy comic publisher Marvel jointly with Stan Lee in the late 1990s, but the deal fell through? That’s right, the King of Pop wanted to buy Marvel comics because he intended on playing Spider-Man in a movie. Here’s what Stan has to say: “I had been to his place in Neverland. He wanted to do Spider-Man. I’m not sure whether he just wanted to produce it or wanted to play the role.
