An old Soviet Ilyushin IL-14 airplane made its final flight in 2005 and landed for good at Zurich International Airport. Fortunately, that wasn’t the end of the road for the plane, as it was destined to become a very unique attraction, a restaurant / bar / cigar lounge. Located in Zurich, Switzerland, “Runway 34” features a jet-bridge entrance, tail fin-shaped menu holders, and more. Continue reading for a video, more pictures and additional information.

According to Jaunted: “Above one wing was our destination: the Wingwalker Bar, which is designed with Barbarella in mind (we kid). It’s definitely cosmonaut-chic and a perfect compliment to the restaurant’s theme. The other wing hosts a private party space above.”
