Anyone looking for an economical vehicle upgrade will appreciate the 2010 Toyota Prius. Its features a "1.8-liter inline-4 with variable intake valve timing -- 98 hp at 5,200 rpm and 105 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm." Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

Running on the Atkinson cycle, this 1.8-liter is the single biggest factor in the 2010 Prius' climb to the coveted 50-mpg combined rating (from 46 mpg in 2009).
