22-Year-Old Builds Electric Motorcycle
Called the ION Electric Sportsbike, this custom electric motorcycle -- based on a '96 Kawasaki ZX6 Ninja -- was built by 22-year-old Tom Miceli and with only a $12,000 budget. It's "capable of more than 70 mph and a range of 60 miles." Video after the break.
The pack recharges in six hours from a standard 110-volt outlet. Miceli estimates the range at about 60 miles and has hit a top speed of about 70 mph.[via CrunchGear - Wired]
