According to Zeng Chaoyi, a car tuner in China, the trend of covering vehicles with reflective 3M vinyl tape is the current rage. This particular vehicle was spotted in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. 5. Car Covered Entirely in Human Hair

You haven’t seen clumps of human hair everywhere, until you’ve seen this custom vehicle by 44-year-old Maria Lucia Mugno. She decided to cover her vehicle in hair after a friend bet that she couldn�t do it. So, with the help of Valentino Stassano, she spent 150 hours sewing thickly braided strands of hair imported from India on her small Fiat 500, winning a Guinness World Record title for the world’s hairiest car in the process.

4. Sharpie Skyline GT-R

Why spend thousands on a paint job for your car, when you can just use dozens of Sharpies to convert a 1995 Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R into a rolling masterpiece. Collen Kelton, a US military officer stationed in Japan, asked his then-girlfriend Allison to use a Sharpie to fill in a few scratches. Lo and behold, the doodles never stopped. Many elaborate swirls, shapes and patterns ensued, until the car’s exterior was completely covered to the last inch. Once she was finished doodling, the painted received several clear coats to protect the design. Yes, she does drive the furry beast around town, and also brushes it down regularly to keep it looking well groomed. Since natural hair extensions are quite expensive, it’s estimated to be worth nearly $100,000.

3. Swarovski Mercedes-Benz CLS

Daria Radionova, a 21-year-old student from Russia, has been attracting a lot of attention on the streets of London with her sparkling Swarovski crystal-encrusted car. Unlike other Mercedes CLS 350s roaming the streets, this one has £20,000 worth of Swarovski crystals. You can find it parked outside the Levin Hotel in Knightsbridge, in West London, alongside Rolls Royces, Ferraris, and Lamborghinis. She brought over a special team from Russia to work on this project, and it took them two months of 12-hour workdays to complete the job.

2. Aston Martin DB Junior for Kids

Inspired by 007’s legendary DB5 from the 1960s, the $27,000 Aston Martin DB Junior is a convertible – measuring 8 foot 2 inches long, 3 foot 4 inches wide, and 2 foot 5 inches high – that comes complete with composite coachwork, leather or vinyl seats, a wood-rimmed steering wheel and hydraulic Brembo disc brakes. A key-operated electric starter ignites the 110 cc four-stroke petrol engine linked to a semi-automatic 3-speed gearbox. The top speed is 46 mph – this can be restricted for safety reasons.

1. 2,000MPG Microjoule

The Microjoule may not have space for two, but it’s an extremely fuel efficient car that can travel over 2,000 miles on just a single liter of fuel. This vehicle is the brainchild of a group of French students at the La Joliverie College in Nantes, western France. At 35kg, it was tested on a track in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and they calculated that the car could do 2,072 miles per liter of fuel or 9,400 miles per gallon. This means that driving the Microjoule once around the world would only cost about $26.
