This pocket-sized drone by San Francisco-based company AeriCam, can be piloted with any iOS or Android smartphone with a Wi-Fi connection, and it comes complete with a micro camera to stream the action live directly to your mobile device. Featuring range of up to 80 feet, a flight time of 10 minutes on a single charge, and speeds exceeding 25 mph once airborne. 1. Ambulance Drone

Invented by Belgian engineering graduate, Alec Momont, the ambulance drone may just revolutionize how medical emergencies are handled. In the video demonstration: a man suffers a heart attack, his daughter calls emergency services, and the drone is sent directly to her location. Once there, the operator instructs her to set up defibrillator pads on his chest, while the drone does the rest. This prototype can send travel at speeds of up to 60 mph, with a range of 4.6 square miles, reducing the average response time for emergency services from about 10 minutes to just one.
