If the rumors are true, Apple is set to release the iPhone 5S this summer, and you know what that means: lots of strange concepts designed by fans. We’ve rounded up five examples of what the next iPhone definitely won’t look like. Continue reading to see them all.
5. iPhone 5S
The iPhone 5S features a 2100 mAh battery, supports a wireless charging, Bluetooth 4.0 and iOS 6.0 as the software of choice. The device’s display diagonal is 4.5 inches and other features included are NFC, 4G LTE+ connectivity and Gorilla Glass 2 technology. There’s also a 12.1 megapixel iSight camera at the back, that I suppose will rule the cameraphone segment for years.
4. iPhone Mini
This iPhone Mini features a dual core Apple A7 processor with quad core graphics, a Retina Display and 16, 32 or 64 GB of storage. It also has wireless charging, fingerprint authentication and iOS 7. Siri is finally out of beta and available in full, plus Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and extended battery, good enough for 11 hours of talk time or 11 hours of LTE browsing. The device also offers 15 hours of WiFi browsing. There’s also a feature called iList, thats activated with the double click of the lock button.
3. Thin
The mockup of the iPhone 6 measures 125 x 63 mm (length, width). You can clearly see the Home button below the volume buttons on the side. There’s also that pair of bigger speakers and smaller 19 pin dock connector at the bottom, all of them rumored specs for the iPhone 5. The sides of the phone are all metal and the back looks like it’s covered with a glass surface.
2. The Secret
This iPhone 5S turns into a Mac, a full fledged Apple computer and gives you the entire unaltered OS X experience projected onto a wall in front of you. Then there’s also a full sized keyboard projected on the table in front of the user. How cool is that? The whole process is detailed in the video, and we also have some shots here. It appears that the top and bottom of the new iPhone will detach and reveal the projectors, integrated within a complex metallic structure.
1. iSung Galaxy 5
Samsung and Apple may be suing each other every time they get the chance, but they’re still working together and the rumors say that the new iPhone CPU will actually be made by Samsung. Thus, the idea of the iSung Galaxy 5 concept is not that incredible, it’s just…impossible.
