Sega debuted the Nomad in 1995, at the price of $179. Basically a portable Genesis/Mega Jet, it boasted a colorful 3.25-inch TFT display and was powered by six-AA batteries -- offering 90-160 minutes of play time. Video after the jump.
On paper, the Nomad was the perfect color portable. It had a full color, backlit display. It supported an estimated 600 titles already on the shelves in addition to being a functional home system. Unfortunately, like the Game Gear, the Nomad was bulky and offered abysmal battery life
