A Look Back: Strange Japanese Stapler

Made by Lihit Industrial Company of Japan, this innovative stapler actually cuts a little flap/slot in the paper instead of using normal staples. Video after the jump.
But from the users point of view, you just push the stapler down as if it was a normal stapler - the clever mechanism does the rest.

That doesn't look like a strong connection at all, but I like it. The stapler is a little big though.

That guy is to the staple companies what ethonal and hydrogen powered cars are to the oil industries. lol The only draw back is that it does alot more to the paper then just poke two holes in it like a normal staple. not good if you need to unstaple/restaple it to add/subtract articles.

This isn't very interesting. I've seen small plastic versions of this in stationery stores here in Canada.
