This creation by Adam Ben-Dror, Shanshan Zhou, and Joss Doggett is called the “Pinokio lamp”, and it not only moves and reacts to its environment, but shows real emotions as well. The Arduino-powered lamp consists of a modified webcam, complete with mechanical iris, and servos to help it maneuver. Facial recognition software allows it to interact with you with games and expressions. When you put it to sleep, the lamp will turn itself back on, just for kicks.
