Acer AL1517A 17" LCD Monitor

Available in black or silver colors, the AL1517A is Acer's latest 17-inch LCD monitor. It features 1,024 x 768 XGA resolution, 600:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 12ms response time, 1W+1W stereo speakers, and a 130-degree viewing angle. The AL1517A measures 344 x 150 x 361mm and weighs 6-pounds. This model goes on sale next month, at the price of $172USD. [via Acer]

is there supposed to be something special about this monitor. the acer monitor on my desk has an 8ms response and handles 1280x1024. same price.
