Apple Releases New Holiday "Get a Mac" Ads

Apple has just released three new "Get a Mac" ads: "Gift Exchange", "Sales Pitch", and "Meant for Work". Watch after the jump.

Hmm, if PC's are only meant for work, does it means its going to replace all those macs in graphic designers workplaces? PC's does run Photoshop just as well.. :) ..and I can guess games publishers will stop making games for then and instead release them on macs? Why couldn't a computer just be able to do everything? eh Apple? Tell us why? And also tell us why you just told the whole world your almighty computers are only good for blogging and child stuff and they're not made for serious work? This is actually interesting. It looks like Apple is really running out of ideas here... they should just rerun the old ads.

These commercials are just getting annoying now. They are totally mis-representing PCs and aren't even pushing the 'benefits' of the Mac. Any PC user knows that games, entertainment and all manner of non-accounting, check-book-balancing, boring stuff can be done on the PC, so I think these ads are backfiring... "Mac's.. good for entertainment, and not much else!"

They are simply trying to create an image around themselves. The iPod is what saved the company, and they are fully aware of it. So, becuase their iPod created a trend an image, they felt the only way to give their computers a true edge, was to carry the image over to their desktops. Really, can't find a good reason what gives them the dominating edge. I mean, their the industry norm for graphical work, simply because they were around early on in desktop publishing. I have a MacMini now simply for combatability, i go to school for web design and interactive media, and I keep one just so I can test my sites for cross-platform combatabillity. Ugh...Macs and their ridiculous branding...

Macs are amazing computers, but these ads are plain stupid. Who ever made this ad campaign should be fired, and they should hire who ever did the Gears of War ads.

These damn ads are getting more and more hackneyed as time goes on. They were sorta clever and a bit funny (from a PC fan's standpoint mind you) but they're mudslinging ads mostly. I feel bad for Microsoft, they're being attacked from all sides now, Sony and their PS3's and any of Apple's Macs. They should just have an ad that simply says MACS ARE STERILE CHILDISH SYSTEMS! BUY ONE OR YOU'RE A GAMER!
