Apple unveiled its updated Apple Watch Series 3 today, and it will offer an LTE cellular connection, making it a standalone device. That's right, users will be able to make calls and send texts from the accessory, even without an iPhone in range. The Series 3 is also 50% more power efficient for both Bluetooth and Wifi, while enabling you to stream 40 million songs to your wrist through Apple Music and Beats 1 Radio. "Apple Watch the third's form factor is the same as previous models. Truly: without staring at the Series 3 from the side, you can barely notice that it's ever so slightly thicker than last year's model. However, the LTE version does have a red digital crown to tell it apart. The cellular connectivity comes via an electronic SIM card integrated right into the watch.
