Designed by German architect Ole Scheeren, the Archipelago Cinema could quite possibly be the first floating movie theater in the world. In this theater, “moviegoers trade theater seats for outsized cushions, and dark walls for an idyllic tropical vista.” Located in Thailand, it had “its first screening late last month, and utilized construction techniques ‘used by fishermen to construct floating lobster farms,’ according to the architect.” Click here for more pictures.
