Archos 605 GPS Hands-On (Video)

Archos introduces a new $140 GPS add-on for its 605 Portable Media Player that essentially "turns it into a pretty basic GPS device." Continue reading for a hands-on demonstration. Click here for first picture in gallery.

It's not meant to outclass offerings from Garmin or TomTom—hence they're downplaying the issue that it's not portable at all—but add some value to the 605

The Archos GPS In-Car Holder accessory is actually 99 dollars not 140 dollars. I think some blogs are reporting the wrong price cause they base their source on a direct convertion of 99 euros in dollars. The price in Europe is generally higher because european prices include european VAT and taxes.
