BMW R80 Skyway Hutchbilt

This 1979 BMW R80 ‘Skyway’ by Hutchbilt adds a few modern touch to the classic motorcycle, including a Yamaha R6 front-end, custom 3CR12 brake rotors / rear shocks, an anti-aircraft grade headlight, and a paint job inspired by ’80s BMX bikes. The seat and tank cover are both handmade in Napa suede with hexagonal stitching by Eric Groenewald. Continue reading for more pictures and information.

“The custom graphics come from a Mexican blanket stance sock that Jeremy had which he handed to his painter, and asked for an interpretation of the BMW racing colors. The tank’s ‘Hutchbilt’ badge was CNC’d out of walnut and the custom billet gas cap is a bespoke piece by black silver,” reports Design Boom.
