Carpet Skates Look Fun, But Dangerous
Why walk when you can slide? These cool Carpet Skates from ThinkGeek allow you to do just that. Video demo after the break.
They have ridges on the bottom under your toes to help you grip the carpet as you build up speed (and also to slow down). And then, sliiiiiiiiiide! Practice hard and you'll be skating around like you're on ice instead of carpet. Carpet Skates fit up to a (US) men's size 14 shoe, and work on low and high pile carpet
