An auto enthusiast teamed up with Mad Dog Racing in South Africa to create what could quite possibly be the world’s first E92 BMW M3 pickup truck. It’s powered by a supercharged 4L V8 engine that churns out at least 100 additional horsepower on top of the factory 420-horsepower. No word yet on if they plan to build a new M4 pickup truck, or at least in the near future. Continue reading for more pictures and information.

Unlike other racing simulators, BMW has basically “rigged up its $100,000+ M3 with a projector in the backseat, and wired the steering, transmission and pedals to control and react to a racing sim.” Video after the break.
The system also feeds data back to the car’s hydraulics, allowing it to shake and bounce in sync with gameplay. Probably not as much fun as driving the real thing, but definitely cheaper
