The Vaio LT is a solid computer with a lot of good features. It's easy enough on the eyes that it could be placed in a kitchen or bedroom (it can also be VESA mounted), but it is hardly underpowered.[via Gizmodo]

Straight from Computex 2008 in Taipei are these live shots of the Acer Aspire Predator gaming desktop. Unfortunately, we can't "confirm or deny whether it really was faster, better, stronger or longer than anything else." Click here for first picture in gallery.
Granted, that little "Don't Touch" sign technically makes this a hands-off, but either way, we're sure you'll enjoy the close-ups.[via Engadget]

So you've seen the technical specs of the gorgeous Acer desktop, now check out the first live pictures of the Aspire Predator -- courtesy of Bit-Tech. Unfortunately, there's no word yet on pricing, but hopefully it's priced lower than the high-end Alienware computers. Click here for first picture in gallery. Here are some initial impressions:
Upgrading from a Core 2 Quad Q9300 to Core 2 Quad Q9450 may not seem like a lot, but GeForce 9600 GT SLI to GeForce 9800 GTX SLI is certainly very tempting if you're a gamer with a high-res screen. Our only worry with the pricing matrix is that Britain may come into effect and may make these prices translate directly from Euros to Pounds Sterling.[via Engadget - Bit-Tech]

Acer expands its gaming desktop line with the Aspire Predator. This beast features a quad-core Intel Core 2 Extreme processor, up to 8GB DR2 800/1066 RAM, and "3x NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX graphics cards kept in check by liquid cooled core." Naturally, tricking this thing out with all of the higher-end options is going to make the price ridiculous in a hurry, but a $999 base is about as good as it will get for an Alienware[via Gizmodo - Engadget]
