Those first GTAIV multiplayer shots were nice, but these new ones, they take a mighty ratchet to my excitement levels and they just ratchet. Them. Up.

Titles in the GTA series have traditionally been heavily mission based (fixed missions must be completed to progress through each game), but the freedom to explore and play outside of the set missions in GTA IV will now be more relevant to progress through the game

There are times when playing Grand Theft Auto IV that it felt less like a video game and more like an engine for experiences. Apparently, someone has already gotten their hands on a PlayStation 3 GTA IV street map, which includes images of "city itself, complete with descriptions of various locales, the Liberty City subway map, and the controller map for the PS3." Click here for first picture in gallery.

It's about as New York as you can get without actually being in New York. Everything looks rather official, though I'm going to go ahead and rumor tag this pending some sort of official confirmation

Apparently, someone over at XboxWorld managed to get their hands on the first Grand Theft Auto 4 multiplayer screens. Click here for first picture in gallery.

There's some nice-looking singleplayer screens thrown in, but for the most part these are shots showing off the game's multiplayer aspect, complete with helicopter combat, gang shootings and the requisite downgraded graphics for increased online performance

Microsoft has partnered with Rockstar to produce a limited edition (500 units) Grand Theft Auto 4 Xbox 360 Elite package, complete with briefcase crammed full of accessories. Unfortunately, these units were only shipped to select press outlets. Click here for first picture in gallery.

The guys at Xbox took an Elite system and, using automotive-quality paint, touched up the sides of the 360 with the GTA IV box art and a serial number. Not a bad way to welcome the first title in the franchise that didn’t drop as a Sony exclusive
