The entries range from the abstract of the winner - "Untitled," by Brice Genre and Hanika Perez, left - to the 2001-like spiffiness of the second entry - "Pearl," by Andreas Diefenbach, center - to the completely absurd but pretty.

Floating Stairs

It may look like a floating staircase, but this unique creation is securely fastened through the use of transparent plastic. Click here for more pictures of the home.

Then again, it looks horribly dangerous. I mean, ignoring the fact that I'd be expecting each step to snap off every time I walked up it, there's no handrail on the side to prevent you from losing your balance and toppling off.

Luxalive Lamp

Unlike other lamps, the Luxalive "reacts to your position to give you the best light, reading over your shoulder and increasing its brightness ever so often." Video after the break.

Sounds nice enough, but the Luxalive also craves your attention, coaxing you to play with the glowing red nub at its end if you want it to keep the lights on.
