Unlike other computers, the Fujitsu Lifebook X2 has an innovative transforming "tri-fold form that allows it to fold into a tablet, UMPC, or netbook." No word yet on pricing or availability. Click here for more pictures.

When folded, the thin little gadget would be easy to carry. In netbook mode, it has a QWERTY keyboard and a trackpad. If the bezels of the screen could be made as small as the renderings show, the gap would barely be noticeable.

Here it is, an official look at a Google Cr-48 prototype. This Chrome OS-powered netbook measures just 0.9-inches thick and weighs in at 3.6-pounds. Unfortunately, there's no word yet on pricing or availability. Video of it being destroyed after the break. Click here for more pictures.

While the OS is pretty much all that matters here right now, and the internals are nothing special, our favorite part of the Cr-48 probably happens to be the one true inessential element: the design.

Intel unveiled its dual-core Atom processor today at Computex, displaying it on a prototype codenamed "Canoe Lake". Not only can "the platform support single and dual-core Atom processors, but provides significant cooling to allow for 50 percent thinner systems."
