In scientific terms, a chimera is essentially a single organism composed of genetically distinct cells, which can result in male and female organs, two different blood types, or subtle variations in form. Animal chimeras are produced by the merger of multiple fertilized eggs. Normally, chimerism is not visible on casual inspection; however, it has been detected in the course of proving parentage. Another way that chimerism can occur in animals is by organ transplantation, giving one individual tissues that developed from two different genomes. Yes, a Florida woman, Cleanthi Peters, actually sued Universal Studios back in the year 2000 because their haunted house was "too scary" and caused her emotional distress. She brought her 10-year-old granddaughter to Universal's annual Halloween Horror Nights back a couple years earlier, and according to Peters, she and her granddaughter were approaching the exit of the theme park's haunted house when an employee with a chainsaw -- minus the chain -- leaped out and pretended to attack them.
