Unlike its crosstown competition -- the LG Voyager -- the Glyde doesn't offer support for Verizon's VCAST TV service, but we imagine most folks will consider that a minor inconvenience.

The UI is basically the same as Sprint's sans Sprint logos, so if you liked your friend's, you'll feel at home. This is a Windows Mobile 6 phone, so all the usual pains (and glories) apply. The EV-DO Rev. A's blazing speeds are sweet, but unfortunately the browser doesn't match the awesomeness of the pipe

Apparently Sony originally wouldn't release photos of the dirty system, but later determined that the pictures of the owner's console are "neither confidential nor private," and now The Consumerist has them to share with the gaming world. After seeing them, it was probably in Sony's best interest to show these to the world -- this system is disgusting

While the Q9M makes serious strides compared to the original Q, there are still some minor issues to consider. A weak signal and so-so battery life can be deal breakers for some. Its laggy processor can also be frustrating at times. Even with these detractors, the Q9M is much more stylish, has improved hardware and usability of the keyboard, and has powerful smartphone and productivity capabilities

Raytheon has developed a 20KW laser that's capable of detonating "60mm mortar rounds at a range of 500 yards." Video after the jump.
While everyone else is trying to cram the most energy into the tightest beam, Raytheon just clumped a bunch of lower power lasers into a wider beam, which turned out to more effectively heat the mortar up causing it to explode, whereas a tight, high powered beam might punch a hole right through it.
