Christina in Red

Scholars have been perplexed over this photograph from over a century ago, called ‘Christina’, the blonde who was captured by photographer Mervyn O’Gorman in a series of dreamlike photos taken in Lulworth Cove, Dorset, in 1913. Afterwards, she disappeared into history, but now we know her full name is Christina Elizabeth Frances Bevan, and she died in 1981 when she was 84, with no listed husband or children.
