It’s not everyday that you come across a stylish messenger bag that includes a quick release buckle, or a military-grade tactical laptop sleeve, but that’s exactly what Chrome Industries has to offer for mobile warriors. Continue reading to see our hands-on reviews of these two products.

Chrome Buran

We have seen the future of messenger bags, and it looks Chrome, the Chrome Buran to be exact. From the moment we removed the Buran from its package, we know that this was well-made. Featuring an integrated, padded and zippered laptop sleeve that fits up to a 17″ Mac Book Pro, an iconic quick release buckle with integrated bottle opener, plenty of pockets for tools, reflective straps, mounting loops for carabineer clips or bike lights, and an industrial strength Velcro accessory shoulder-mounting strap.

Even after wearing this bag for a few hours, complete with a laptop inside, we felt little to no discomfort, thanks to the EVA foam padded shoulder strap with cross-chest load stabilizer. While the weather was good today, we’re sure the eatherproof 1000 denier Cordura outer shell, 18 oz. truck tarpaulin liner, Nylon 69 thread, and YKK zippers, can stand up to the elements. If you’re looking for a messenger bag for mobile warriors, this is the one to get. Product page.

Tactical Sleeve

For those who have the bag and want to protect a second laptop, make sure you check out this accessory. Sleek and stylish, the Chrome Tactical Sleeve is made from military-grade 18 oz. truck tarp liner for the ultimate in protection. The 13″ and 15″ sleeves are fully integratable with Chrome’s Mini Metro, Citizen, and Metropolis bags. Inside, it’s lined with tech-fleece and boasts polyethylene foam padding. After trying it out the 15″ sleeve with our MacBook Pros at the office, we have to honestly say that it’s definitely one of the best, if not the best, laptop sleeve we’ve ever used, in both protection (the Velcro strip is definitely ultra firm and won’t accidentally open) and looks. Highly recommended!Product page.
