Cornstarch Experiment

Cornstarch Experiment

This demonstration basically shows "a cornstarch fluid on a metal sheet on a subwoofer, behaving as if gravity is optional." Continue reading to watch the cornstarch experiment.

Try it yourself: add cornstarch to water until it just gets to a "weird" state, and then play.

this all works because cornstarch is a none-newtonic fluid. a none-newtonic fluid behaves like a solid if you exert force on it. for example if you would hit cornstarch you will see that it will become solid but than if you would sure it you would see it will act like a fluid. thats a none-newtonic fluid.
