Waiting at crosswalks can get boring, but three interaction design students – Amelie Kunzler, Sandro Angel, and Holger Michel – from HAWK University came up with an interactive solution. After 2-years and countless hours spent working with traffic experts, the Pong Crosswalk has now become a reality. The new company is currently raising funds to further enhance these crosswalk units, and add: “We want to imply a special type of WiFi so we can change the applications on the fly, to provide you for example with: news feedsnavigation, traffic education for children, citizen surveys, speed dating and much more!”
