Currently at $365.58 on eBay, this slot-loading Xbox 360 "made with the drive from a G3 and the Hitachi that was originally in the 360." Auction page. Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

After taking everything apart, it was a simple matter of rebuilding the spindle, rigging up a tiny breadboard with a few transistors, cramming the new Frankenstein drive into the game system, and -- of course -- finishing up with some handy case mod.
