Travis Larson, a locomotive engineer from Riverdale, Utah, started a plan in 2006 to recreate Disneyland’s Fantasyland in his basement, or at least some of its most iconic pieces, such as Snow White’s Scary Adventures, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, Peter Pan’s Flight, and of course the Village Haus Restaurant. Fast forward to 2018, and you get a mind-blowing scene that appears to be straight from the Magic Kingdom. However, there’s still plenty of work to be done, as Larson now plans on adding additional theming to make the area even more immersive.

The entire recreation was fabricated with mostly raw materials picked up from Home Depot, and nearly every element and detail was painstakingly researched and built by Larson. Not only does the basement feature scaled, exact replicas of the Fantasyland facades, but Larson also added daytime and nighttime lighting; crowd sounds; and even queue music from Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, Snow White’s Scary Adventures, and the Village Haus Restaurant,” reports Attractions Magazine.
