Unveiled at the 2021 Monaco Yacht Show, Feadship’s Pure superyacht is unlike any other that you’ve probably seen. Aside from all the luxuries you’d expect from this type of vessel, it has a virtually-generated command center / pilothouse using augmented reality (AR) technology. That’s right, there are no windows, but rather an image of the seas that have been projected onto the walls of the room.
Other features include an expansive three-deck elliptical glass atrium that incorporates slabs of glass to let natural light flow in, a retractable glass-bottomed Jacuzzi, and what would a superyacht be without a large beach club sporting three fold-down balconies. Power comes from an “energy-hybrid” propulsion system that starts as a diesel electric in 2024 before shifting to hydrogen in 2027, and eventually all-methanol fuel cells in 2030.

We developed this design with a mix of joy and tenacity, determined to adjust every angle until it works to perfection. This is an environment which is equally suitable for hosting amazing parties or displaying exciting art collections. Pure synthesizes all the know-how gained in recent times over the types of spaces, exteriors and propulsion solutions owners are asking for. Many of us are inherently reluctant to truly explore what our actual needs are but Pure takes a deep dive down this path,” said designer Jan Schaffers.
