Once in a while you come across a cell phone that just looks like it was designed by someone who drew a few shapes and tacked on a keypad, check out a few after the jump.

Samsung/Bang & Olufsen Serene

This strange looking phone by Samsung definitely wasn’t designed with portability in mind. On the bright side, it offers a 2.1-inch QVGA TFT-LCD display, 0.3-megapixel camera, and Bluetooth.

Vertu Signature Cobra

Would you pay $310,000 for this phone? Well, at least it’s encrusted with shiny gemstones — one pear-cut diamond, one round white diamond, two emerald eyes, and a whopping 439 rubies.

Ivory Cell Phone

Limited to just six handcrafted units, this ivory cell phone is priced at a whopping $23,000. Another caveat: it’s only available in China.

Xun Chi 138

Touted as the “world’s smallest cell phone”, it features a TFT-LCD touchscreen display w/handwriting recognition, 1.3-megapixel camera, music player, and a host of multimedia functions. Just a couple questions: where is the keypad and does it come with a built-in magnifying glass?
