Overview

Simply put, procedural generation creates content on the fly by only varying the textures and/or landscapes while keeping particular items the same in each frame. This is so that they can be called upon in any order and cached as necessary. This technology may not be new, but ProFX is one of the first game-oriented graphics engines to utilize procedural generation.
