Michael Arndt decided that buying a real Formula 1 car was too expensive, so he spent 6-years building a Mercedes-McLaren replica using 956,000 matchsticks. Best of all, parts can be safely removed for easy transportation in the case of it fetching a nice sum from a local F1 enthusiast.
Ukulele
Though not made of koa, an expensive Hawaiian wood, this matchstick Ukulele just might be the next best thing. Each matchstick was painstakingly bent, carved, and then glued together to recreate the instrument. This version features 4-strings, tuned D-G-B-E, similar to the tuning of a guitar.
