At 0.3mm thick, Sony's 2.5-inch display is the world's first full-color OLED display. Practical applications for this technology include: televisions, computer screens, digital audio players, and even billboards. Unlike LCDs, OLEDs do not require a backlight, which means they are ultra efficient if run off battery power. Sony has yet to set a commercial release date for these displays. Video after the break. and what he forgets to tell is that they also lose there contrast in color because the pixels are organic so after 3 years red is that red any more BUT hey in 3 years time that is fixxed so you can buy a new one ;)
