Fisker may not be in the electric car spotlight right now, thanks to Tesla, but if this new car battery comes installed on any of their future vehicles, that could quickly change. The company has already announced that their first vehicle would be powered by solid-state batteries that feature three-dimensional electrodes with 2.5-times the energy density of lithium-ion batteries. What does this mean? It will allow for a range of 500 miles (805 km) on a single 1-minute charge on such EVs as its “EMotion” (above), which is set to debut at CES 2018 in January.
