The all-new Ford GT has just been unveiled in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show, and it’s a stunner. Featuring a twin-turbocharged 3.5L EcoBoost V6 that churns out more than 600-horsepower, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox housed inside a carbon fiber tub. According to Ford, it will “exhibit one of the best power-to-weight ratios of any production car.” Continue reading for another video, more pictures and additional information.

“Designed to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the car will go into production late next year for sale in ‘select global markets’ – and needless to say, it won’t be cheap. It’s not all engine, though; there’s technology here, too. Ford is quick to note that the recently introduced Sync 3 system will be included on the GT, which is made primarily of carbon fiber and aluminum,” reports The Verge.
