Not only will the Motorola Calgary be the company’s first Google Android-powered handset, but also the only CDMA phone to run the OS. According to early rumors, “the QWERTY slider will focus on social networking — presumably in the same vein as the new Sidekick.”

As long as they don’t lock it the hell down, could be sweet, and not just for Moto, who needs a hit phone, or Verizon, who just needs better phones.
