Google has just unveiled Smart Navigation for Android phones, which enables users to "navigate Street View by dragging Pegman from the corner and highlighting where you want to go with a lightly shaded 'pancake' on roads or a rectangle on buildings." Video after the break.

Google also added the search bar to the top of the main Maps window, so you no longer need to hit the search button every time you open maps.
