Climber Kenton Cool has sent the world’s first tweet from the top of Mount Everest, thanks to Nepali telecom company Ncell who “installed the 3G setup at Everest’s base camp in October of last year.” Video after the break.
“Everest summit no 9! 1st tweet from the top of the world thanks to a weak 3G signal & the awesome Samsung Galaxy S2 handset! @samsunguk,” wrote Cool, shortly before he made a phone call to his wife as well�the first 3G call made atop the mountain, we should note.
