Hellcat Prius

Unlike the standard Toyota Prius, this one by American Racing Headers of Long Island, New York boasts a 1000-horsepower Hellcat-sourced supercharged V8 engine. To be more specific, it features the 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 with a 4.5-liter Whipple supercharger that sends 1000 horsepower through a six-speed manual Tremec gearbox to a Ford nine-inch rear end. As you can see in Jay Leno’s test drive, the car is fully-functional, and currently generates around 800 horsepower to the wheels. “The result of all this madness is a Toyota Prius capable of pulling 9 seconds at the quarter mile, with the V8 now producing 800hp on pump gas. However, and despite the extreme mods involved, the ‘PriuSRT8’ remains friendly and usable on the public road, as a testament to the work of ARH,” reports Car Scoops.
