"Kipkay" shows us how to boost the range of any infrared remote control in 5-minutes or less. If you've tried this, please leave us a comment with your experience. Video after the jump.
Do that to a Wiimote and that amazing range will probably increase even more.

Oh wait, you'd probably need something to boost the bluetooth signal too?

I guess it works like the reflectors used on torches, the range extenders that can be bought for wifi routers etc.
The basic principal is that your conentrating the signal more, instead of the infrared light going all over the place, the reflector bounces the light from going everywhere and bounces it forward where you are pointing it at...extending its range essentially

i think the infrared light will bounce on the foil, that invissible inrared light will then have a bigger range, and will not go at one point.

It also depends how far the receptor is, the convexity is a key point too. Nevertheless it will surely work better than without it, even if it's just a tiny unnoticeable bit.

You can't do that to a Wiimote. The Sensor Bar is the IR transmitter, and the Wiimote is the receiver.
