Error message when attempt to rename a second shortcut (ie Desktop shortcut) :
Impossible to rename Desktop, name is already assigned to an existing file !!!
What happend there ?

You can also use "ALT" 255. This will insert a blank space for the name and have the same affect. There is a listing of all "ALT" characters found here;

This is a great way to create secure passwords too.

yeah, it's all well and good until you have to start clicking through all the folders until you find the right one, or you try to link to one of the folders. There's got to be a better non-destructive way.

I recommend using ALT+255 instead, to avoid ScanDisk/Defrag/FAT32 conversion problems.
jbx, you cannot have two files with the same name. Try naming the second file with two "hidden" symbols.

For laptops: On the right side of the keyboard there should be some numbers. Hold "Fn" to use those.
