Insignia NS-DV2G Review

We recently got our hands on the Insignia NS-DV2G and it's definitely one of the best digital media players priced under $120. It features a 2.2-inch color TFT display, built-in FM tuner w/20 presets, microSD card slot, USB 2.0 connectivity, and up to 20-hours of continuous playback (audio). Pros

The screen is very bright, images are crisp, and video playback is very smooth. Jog-dial navigation was very precise. Device turns off automatically after preset amount of time. Battery-life is incredible: 20 hours 47 minutes of audio playback and 7 hours 10 minutes of video playback. Came preloaded with songs, videos, pictures, and audible books.

Cons

Included headphones were mediocre in terms of sound quality. Only way to charge the player is via USB. No landscape/portrait modes for video playback.

I just bought the 4GB for only 40$ more, making it 150. Small amount of money for double the space. YES the battery life IS amazing! It lasts forver! I believe it's because theres no moving parts, is this correct? I've managed to dim the screen a bit and get movies to play over 8 hours, way more than any ipod. The expansion card slot is really cool for extra memory for some more movies. The battery is a common sold sepperatly brand, so you can buy a second and double the fun for long trips. The movies look almost High Defenition, so the small screen still looks amazing when your strapped into a car or long flight. It's so cheap too!!! This makes me laugh at how people get sucked into buying iPods just becuase of advertizing and software... By far a best buy and deserves 6 out of 5 stars. (amazingly light too)
