Intel unveiled its dual-core Atom processor today at Computex, displaying it on a prototype codenamed “Canoe Lake”. Not only can “the platform support single and dual-core Atom processors, but provides significant cooling to allow for 50 percent thinner systems.” Pricing and availability of said Click here for first picture in gallery.

During today’s PC Client keynote at Computex, the company took a moment to talk up Canoe Lake, an experimental platform that’ll enable 720p video playback on a machine that’s barely thicker than a couple of envelopes stacked together.
