Cement Factory Home

Architect Ricardo Bofill managed to come across an abandoned cement factory in 1973, and it soon became one of his greatest projects yet, called “La fabrica”. Nearly 45 years later, it’s been transformed into an incredible home that is situated just outside of Barcelona, Spain. Once the interior was gutted, and outside cleaned up, lush vegetation was planted. Inside, many of the walls were removed to create a seamless transition between living spaces. Even the cement-filled silos can be found repurposed as decorative pieces now. Continue reading for more pictures and information.
